Default GM and Ol'Ron

what do you guys think about unshrouding the valve pockets behind the valves on the flathead block to gain some easy and free horse power?

Out of my line of thinkin. I'm happy with what a good running stock engine puts out. Not looking for premature failures. I like reliability. Ask Walt what he thinks. G.M.

Not sure you'd see much improvident to any porting below 4000 RPM. At least not enough to measure.Biggest improvement you can make is tighten up the piston to head clearance, Probably can't measure tha either but your foot and wallet will know the difference.
