Default Trunk Question

My car came with a trunk on the back you can see it in my avatar, I know the new ones the advertisers sell are wood and leather covered. Mine is all metal covered with a naugahyde or maybe leather not sure has leather straps and handles. the rack it sits on is stamped steel it is hinged so it folds up with the trunk off of it. Can anyone tell me about this trunk is it something dealers sold or what. Thanks

There should be a name on the trunk so you can research it on Google. The name may have been a decal that was painted over years ago. Otherwise you can post pictures of it, and maybe someone can ID it.

They normally just put a business card on the inside of the cover or lid on the right hand corner, that's what was on both of my trunks

Your trunk is like the ome on our Roadster. It is vinyl over galvanized steel. I like it because it is a little lighter than the plywood version, although it costs more. Get a new one like yours at Mac's.

Looks like a Varco rack also. I've been thinking of getting one myself....but still just thinking. I like how it folds up.

Varco rack is supposed to be an exact replica of the original used late 1928 - 1929 check your judging standard, late 1929 ,1930 ,&1931 stared using Crome rack with wooden slats and a little less wide , hope this helps

Looks like a Varco. I bought a Varco trunk for my 31 Slant Town Sedan several years ago and it has been holding up very well without a cover. Here is the link to their website: http://www.varcoinc.com/
