Model A Times
Good afternoon. This afternoon I was perusing the internet for info on Model A's and a came across this site www.modelatimes.net. When I click on any of the links I get the following. Is this site no longer valid?

Re: Model A Times
When I was leaving for the MAFCA convention I got an email from the credit card processing site that said they made some changes that might effect the website. They were right and I was traveling until a couple of days ago. I just haven't had a chance to contact the host company and try and figure out what happened. If you need to use a credit card I can do that over the phone but the payment feature on the website sends it into a whole problem area.

John, There is nothing for me to see to use a credit card for. Any link I select I get the same message.

Re: Model A Times
The credit card processing company did something that makes the pages where you would use a card not work. I have to get a hold of the host site and see what needs to be done to fix it.

Re: Model A Times
Is this something I can check with my multimeter, or do I need to use my oscilloscope?

Sometimes reading these posts is better than reading the comic section of the newspaper!

Re: Model A Times
My guess is that your website hosting company upgraded MySQL to a newer version. They do this automatically to keep things current. You can't keep running the old stuff forever.
Your site is using some old database calls that will soon be removed from MySQL. It's no big deal right now, except for the unsightly messages. The old function calls still work, but you are being told (rather rudely) to replace them as soon as possible. Replace those database calls to the newer ones, and the messages will go away. But wait too long, and the old functions will no longer work and the site will misbehave in ugly ways. Oh, wait... I see some "Fatal errors" on some pages already. Uh oh

Oh my! that code crap I have to see all day long... PHP is highly riskly..for the lame system to toss out errors to the public is enough to give a hacker all they need... Very poor to use a non-root user path in php.. The admin of this system is a hack...
