Default just got a motor what year

only markings i have found are on the heads 81-6049a, and top of bell something in a circle can;t make it out. Not a 59 block and poking with a knife i cant hit a lip under the intake (but it might be there) any ideas?

If the heads are what came on it, then it is a Ford engine - 221 cubic inches - 3 1/16 bore, with 91A or 21A rods. It will have the earlier crankshaft style - with an oil slinger instead of a rope rear main seal.

Ford made the raised deck blocks starting in 1941 and during the war as well. It's likely a 221 but I can't see the center deck.
