Default Ford Fuel Gauge Fluid

Seeing as the red fuel gauge fluid is no longer available has anyone come up with a suitable substitute-? I do have some Sun Manometer Fluid (Acetylene Tetrabromide) it came with a distributor machine I purchased back in the late 1960's so it is quite old will it work, if you read the MSDS sheet it is pretty nasty stuff.
Has any one tried MMO (LOL) it seems to be the miracle fluid that works for anything. Thanks for any help.

I just sent my gauge to John Wolf instruments . They also have a kit with dye.

Acetylene Tetrabromide could well be the correct fluid. The original fluid is called Tetra-bromoethane. And is also nasty stuff. The important consideration is the specific gravity; it must be 2.95.
Original fluid was colored using 'Durant Scarlet Dye'.
