Bearing seal replacement on 1979 351M w/ 4 sp

Any one have any idea on how to change the bearing seal and how difficult it is to do.

any help is apreciated.

i am not really sure...i have an oil leak.

i think it is coming from the from of the transmisson.

there are no seals on the front of the trans just a gasket between the trans and trans main shaft cover

do you have an automatic? if so there is a seal in the front of the trans must pull trans and pry out seal make sure there is no grove cut in torque converter shaft from a dried seal usually its just the seal that got hard and wont hold the oil pressure

no seal just a paper gasket between trans and yoke on front of trans

are there and seal within the transmisson that could be leaking? the engine dosen't seem to be using any oil.

no seal in trans just an oil slinger or oil blocker if you prefer just behind the main shaft bearing, its purpose is to keep oil from going past the main bearing, check to see if trans is over full or the vent hole is not pluged, the vent is usually on top of the trans, are you sure its trans oil? if it smells really funny its trans oil
