Coupe panel above deck
My 31 Coupe panel above the deck lid (between the lid and rear window) is trashed. I see Mac's ( part # 28-23035-1) has one listed but the pic leaves a lot to be desired. Has anyone bought one of these or has seen one and can show a better pic? Or a pic of the area it covers on a coupe?
Thanks in advance!

Re: Coupe panel above deck
I suspect the panel you are looking at is made by Howell's in TX. If it is, I would be very cautious of it. Their stuff leaves a lot to be desired. I suppose it is possible the part is one of the very few that are made like the original, but I doubt it. If I were you, I would look for a restorable original panel.

Re: Coupe panel above deck
A few yrs. ago when I restored my 29 rdstr. I was going to replace that panel because the orig. was stretched & bent down from someone setting on it. I bought a replacement & the fit was so bad I heated, shrank & reworked the orig. I was very happy with the way it came out.
