Real Henry Ford all steel 1932 Model B roadster with enhancements
Nice clean original appearance car upgraded with new Wilton hydraulic Lincoln style 12 inch self energizing front brakes including new 2 inch drums. 48 ford master cylinder neatly installed under the center cross member. The rear brakes are 48 Ford with excellent drums turned to 60 over.
All about the power plant
The recently rebuilt four cylinder Model B engine has increased power with a new Charlie Yapp cast Iron two port Riley overhead valve head. It has a new Model A leak less water pump. It has Red Hamilton powder coated tube type headers. A new Charlie Yapp dual equalizer manifold with two Speedway Motors new 97 Stromberg type carburetors which have 47 & 48 main jets with 65 power valve. The B grind cam has a strong bronze timing gear with mated steel crankshaft gear. A small diameter Charlie Yapp crankshaft pulley is utilized to reduced water pump output at the high RPM this engine is capable of.
A 12 volt high output alternator is installed. A Braille 12 volt battery starts the engine quickly. The starter is 6 volt with a solenoid wired to a spring loaded toggle switch for fast, easy convenient starting. A good old 1932 hand crank is included to aid in initial distributor timing. A new single point Mallory centrifugal advance distributor is installed. The clutch is a 9 inch with a strong V8 clutch cover. A tachometer and a water temperature gauge are mounted neatly below the dashb

A special built Mitchell 27% overdrive with manually operated shifter. The original horn remains 6 volts working good off an expensive voltage converter mounted inside on the firewall that is superior to cheap voltage reducer. The front cowl air scope has been filled as I got tired of it leaking water. The original windshield wiper actually works.
The radiator is original 32 Ford, all tubes were rod out, tanks cleaned. The car runs at 160 to 170 even on California 100 plus degrees in the hills around Placerville and Lake Tahoe using a 160 thermostat. Transmission is a stock 32 Ford and was recently rebuilt. for info e mail [email protected] or call Jerry at 530-621-1753
