Hi, you've still good. In Switzerland, one US- Gallon (3.78Liters) unleaded Regular 95Oct. costs about $ 7.00 . And in Europe we have the cheapest fuel. Germany = 7.74 Dollar per Gallon, Italia = 7.9 Dollar per Gallon, GB = 8 Dollar per Gallon

This is the hell. There are only two options, either pay or allow to stand.
Greetings Barney

True, but my understanding is in most of those countries you have pretty good access to public transportation where in the U.S. most need cars to get to work. I would LOVE to be able to hop on a bus or train to get to my job.

Hi,
Yes true we have good access to public transportation (I forgot this, i'm a petrolhead). But the capacity is on the limit at Rush-Hour. And there are also a lot of us have to go by car to work. I have the choice between 25min. driving car or almost 90 minutes by train.
One advantage is perhaps that our cars need a little less than in America. In normal cars we have a lot of diesel-powered in the last 10 years.
Greetings Barney
