Re: My new to me '39 Coupe
All I can say is "Beautiful" '39's have a special place in my heart.
I like the no bumper look, it could save a little on gas, too. When I got out of HS, I bought a 57 Austin Healey. I took the front bumper of of it, because it looks so darn good. The 60 - 63 Falcons, also look good that way.

Re: My new to me '39 Coupe
Thanks guys, much appreciated.
tubman, in MA, just about anything we alter on cars is illegal. (you should see the Bronco I built!) Luckily, at my age, they don't bother me like when I was young. (I'll post a picture below.) 1931 Flamingo, there were more sleepless nights than I care to remeber! corvette8n , It's the factory 3 speed on the floor. I really wanted a flathead, manual car. frnkeore , I'm with you, when I was a kid, no bumpers screamed Hot Rod! FlatheadTed, that flat out sucks, but the repairs look awesome without the color on it. Can you post up some more pics of that beautiful coupe?

Re: My new to me '39 Coupe
Thanks AKCJ , it was for us too and our plan was really to build one, we just lucked out and were able to buy a completed car for considerably less than I could build one.

Jay, why do I think you are not kidding.....and beside, I'm not sure if you have enough pages left in that book.
