depends on why it needs a sleeve---and is the crankshaft counterweighted

Do the cracks come for free?? I'd consider paying that much ONLY IF it had been magnafluxed and proved good and it has a counterweighted crankshaft.

the B block likes to crack through valve seat into cylinder-probably the reason for sleeve-before you buy it should be checked to see how many---and how much it cost to fix

cracked blocks are usually cheaper than 600

I like to use old V8’s for boat anchors, but this one could work. Enjoy.

No counter weighted crank, and a big poorly repaired crack from valve to cylinder. If it were mine, I would give it to WHN to use as a boat anchor.

that blob of weld makes it hard to fix, and could have caused more cracks, it has to be priced at the value of the other parts

I have a limit of $125 for a long block where the condition / serviceability is unknown. Both of my Model A's have "B" Engines, and I went through 4 of them to get 2 usable ones. I would not recommend buying a cracked Model "B" Engine.
