Chrome Shop Recommendations
I know this has been discussed on here before and I have read thru some of the threads regarding hood chrome plating shops, but things change, including the shops I once used in WA.
Does anybody have any recommendations on chrome platers that not only do good work, but fair on pricing as well? Thank you! |

Re: Chrome Shop Recommendations
I used Northwest Chrome in New Plymouth, Idaho last summer. I feel it was excellent quality. Cost is in the eye of the beholder. They did what they promised and was a short turn around in my opinion. I would use them again.

Re: Chrome Shop Recommendations
I have been using Master Craft Chrome Plating on Harrison street in Seattle. I’m in Ellensburg Wa. So they are about 90 miles away. I like the work they do. Good Luck.

I used Jon Wright Custom Chrome Plating ,Grafton Ohio for a 1954 Corvette. Show car quality but $$$$. I have used Bumper Boyz in California for nice, but somewhat lower quality and far fewer $.

Re: Chrome Shop Recommendations
Take a look at S & H chrome in Nashville TN. I am having my 52 Chevy parts done there. Half the price of most. Pieces I have seen seem good.

Re: Chrome Shop Recommendations
I second that. Have been using these guys for over 35 years . I ship my parts from Alaska to them. Have been real satisfied with their work. A bit expensive but it depends on the quality of the part to start with and what you are wanting for a end product.

Re: Chrome Shop Recommendations
Thanks for all the replies. I have contacted many of the chrome shops you all mentioned. I have a few parts to plate on my 36 pickup I am restoring, first of which is the original hood hinge. Prices to plate this simple piece have been all over the place. Anywhere from my usual plater at $250 on up to $450 from one of the platers mentioned in this thread, which seems excessively high to me. Thank you all.

Re: Chrome Shop Recommendations
If you want nice chrome (not show chrome) I used Sandy's Bumper Mart in Syracuse. https://sandysbumpermart.com/. Reasonably priced.
