Default Drake grill fitment? Need to know

I would like to know of any problems with the repro 34 grill fitment to original fenders. Only original not repro fenders. I want to trade a fellow who wants to chrome his original grill to get it shiny, so I would like to trade him a drake grill for his patina'd grill which is what I want to put on my original 3W. He says it would cost him 1400.00 to plate his nice grill, so I would like to trade him. We both get what we want. His grill has no pits on the bars only a few scratches and dull finish on the rest of the grill. What say you? Thanks P.S I would like to know ahead of time so he does not tell me he had all kinds of problems. He is a good friend.

You could put his perfect original grille on your perfect original car and still have fitment problems. There were multiple stamping dies and factories in 1934, and they were never exactly the same, so even original Ford stuff is going to be a "maybe".

Drake's grille may fit perfect on one car and poor on the next.
