Default Bent Spoke Wire Wheels

What is the origin of these 17" and 18" bent spoke Ford Wire Wheels? Notice that when the Drain Hole is at the bottom, the Valve is partly on the left of the top. I know that Kelsey Hayes provided 16" Wire Wheels, but they had 40 Spokes whereas these only have 32 Spokes. Can anyone help?

Try looking into a company called "Motor Rim and Wheel". That may be the answer.

I've never seen adjustables for 17" and 18". Can you post pics?

I've got a set of adjustable 16" and the difference of the rim itself is really apparent. Much thicker lip that rolls over more.

Sorry I don't have pics. A few yrs ago at Pebble Beach there was a red German bodied '32 invited to that show.It has 18" adjustables on it.I have seen 1 other set and that was in Hawaii in 1997.Can't recall the 17's and If I can remember I'll let you know.I have had a couple sets of 15 adjustable and they appear on EBAY occaisonally.
Found a pic of Ken's '32 with the 18" adjustable spoke wheels.
