1951 fan assembly
OK, I am assembling the needed drive line parts to convert my newly acquired '51 Tudor from 6 cyl. to flathead V8. I did this about 20 years ago to a similar car, some details I need to refresh. Regarding the cooling fan, what is the correct narrow belt fan assembly?? Thanks!

Re: 1951 fan assembly
Except for special service vehicles, all Ford passenger car V8’s used the same 3 bladed fan assembly with the narrow groove pulley. I think it had the 8BA-8602 part number. This was one complete assembly that included the fan blade, hub and sheave, and mounting bracket. The fan blade was riveted the hub. The bearing was a dual sealed ball bearing and it was not a service part sold by Ford. However , there’s an aftermarket shaft and bearing assembly from a common water pump that can be made to work.
