For sale Dec.3, 1927 Light Delivery

This Light Delivery is a one of the kind. The body was supplied and installed by Kentucky Wagon Mfg. Co. on a passenger car chassis with a 10 leaf "D" rear spring, as such, the radiator shell, headlights, and tail light are nickel plated and it has passenger car running boards. This "A" only had a little over 25,000 original miles when I purchased it in 1978; there was nothing missing on the chassis, like the original light switch, the horn and light rod which is engraved (left) "dim", (center) "off", (right) "on", the horn which is the earliest "Ames". The rear end axel housings have no seams as mentioned in the Judging Standards. This "A" has only been showed one time, MARC National Meet in San Diego in 2011; I received a Mark Of Excellent in Fine Point Judging; the May-June 2012 issue of MARC "Model "A" News featured this "A" on the cover with a article and additional pictures on the inside. As of today, the "A" has a total of 28.3 miles on the restoration. I also have a complete set of tools in a lined case that goes will the "A".

Note: This "A" scored 460 Points, even though several original items were scored as replacement items by the judges who have a tough time trying to judge these very early "A's"; I am not complaining, was very happy as this was the first time I put an "A" in fine point judging since getting into the hobby in 1962.
