Default carb 94 power valves

why two valves included in kits, one short and a long one , i use the short one, what carb takes the long valve and why ?

I think the second one is a spark valve for the later carbs.

The kits are usually made to work on all carbs from '39 through '56 Fords.
The spark valves were used from'54 through '56.
Make sure you install the correct one, since they are spring loaded in opposite directions.

Also, if you used the short one for the power valve, I'm pretty sure the short one is the spark valve and won't work. Use the one that's spring loaded in the same direction as the one you removed to be sure.
