Hey Guys,
What is the largest 15" wheel and tire to fit the original rear axel of a 1946 Ford Coupe?
What is the lug spacing? Is it 5X5?

How about a 7 inch wheel with a 235/75R15 tire?

5 on 5.5" pattern.

same bolt pattern 1928 to about 1986 used on Pu trucks last.

Lug spacing is 5 on 5 1/2. when it comes to wheel width you can use a 5" or 6" wide wheel. You must also look at the back spacing on the wheel. If the rear spacing is too deep the tire can rub the inner fender panel or come in contact with the arm on the stock shocks. a 235X75 tire will fit the 5" or 6" wide wheel.

Just don't put that big a tire on the front, you'll need "armstrong" power steering to turn.
