Hole above speedo cluster is probably for the hi-low beam indicator.
Don't know about other holes.

Perhaps one of those rubber bladed defroster fans. Pop had one on our '53. He got it at the Pep Boys.

Maybe add a vintage compass that would cover the extra holes.

Yep, hole above gauge cluster is the hi-beam indictor.
The other two holes are not factory.
Too bad someone didn't do their homework before painting the dash.

Get a couple of the right size plastic "Christmas Tree Plugs" from the local auto parts store. Paint them the right color and no one will notice.

I may try and find a signal light viewer to mount in the center holes.

Look for one of those little defroster fans made by Trico, One would look cool on the dash and have a purpose.

I like the idea of a period-correct compass. My day always installed them in his new Oldsmobiles when he was a traveling salesman on the '40's and '50's. I bought a new Stratus coupe in 2001 that also came with a compass. I didn't realize how much I used it until I sold the car and really missed having it.

Don't know if it was a regional thing but I remember seeing many cars and trucks with a dash mount compass. Of course there was a lot of virgin Mary figurines as well as hula girls that graced many a dash.

In our work a day we had to have the fan there to see, without wiping the inside windshield.
