Default 35 ford brake adjust screw?

Hi Guys, I'm familiar withe early ford mechanical brakes most have an adjustment bolt on inside backing plate, except 35 and 36.
all I have read says adjust the adjustment screw till shoes start to rub, okay dumb question, how do you get at the adjustment screw? it is not visible on backing plates.

With respect, all Model A through '38 Ford mechanical brake backing plates have provision for exterior adjustment in the form of a square-ended adjustment bolt, not just the pre-'35 versions. That yours are missing suggests that you need to pull the brake drums and find out what else is missing in order to have your brakes working effectively as designed, including their provision for adjustment.

If the adjuster is missing maybe it was converted to floaters...
Take a look into the hole where the adjuster is supposed to be...you see a cogged adjuster in there ??

It may be just semantics, as David has pointed out, the adjustment is made with a wrench rather than a screwdriver.

When adjusting 35 36 brakes run adjusters in tight to lock the
brakes up tight then back off the adjusters until the wheels feel
almost free. After a little use the high spots wear off and the
wheels spin free. Before adjusting set the cross bar according to
to the Ford adjustment procedure to get the brake rods to the
wheels in the correct upright position. When adjusted correctly
all 4 tires will make skid marks on concrete at 25 MPH. I trust
really good mechanical brakes more than hydraulics. A hose or
cylinder can go bad. G.M.

Kiwis from NZ generally not keen to be refered to as Australian.
Similar to American/Canadian.
Just to clarify.

just to clarify-I don't care what way you refer to yourselves just as long as Flathead Ted keep making the floaters. If clarifying it made you feel better then that is OK also
