Starter issues
Good day,
Got the car started today 1930 ford however ...it stopped attempts to restart a than just heard a grind noise when I press on the starter any ideas what’s going on? |

Put the car in third gear and rock it back and forth. If you hear it pop loose it may be a bad spot on the ring gear. Just a thought??? Chap

Could be the bendix spring has broken, or the bolt holding it has broken. Not a hard job to remove the starter to inspect the situation.

Well when I pushed the the starter i suspect it was turning the gear...don’t think the starter was doing anything
