Default PawPaws old wisdom

I read most of these threads about the old/new points, what oil to use, leakless water pumps...and others. You know the ones I mean. Everybody has there own opinion, most dont mind sharing it. I always chuckle and remember something I heard growing up:
" Convince a fool against his will, he has the same opinion still."

So we are all a bunch of hard-headed old codgers, set in our ways...why else would we try to take 80 year old iron and try to make it good as new?

Hope everyone has a grade "A" day.

Hi Rex,

It can be amusing when one thinks about it.

Looks like humans everywhere are always so diversified with different opinions.

Every time there is a revolution, whether it be an Industrial Revolution, American Revolution, Italian Renaissance discarding the Dark Ages, Religious Reformation, or what ever, some of all ages join these revolutions & some prefer the status quo.

We witness somewhat similar opinions in Model A Restoration such as the Purists vs. those providing Model A modifications with down draft carbs, electronic ignition, etc.

Appears that historically, this may have been the way it was meant to be.

For example, concerning opinion differences when young, the young blondes & young brunettes would be miserable if all the young men's opinions were fixed to only chased young red heads.

But as we develop into old codgers, appears our opinions change ............. blondes, brunettes, & red heads all look good -- even those on Medicare!

Heck, today, I don't even mind whitewall tires & an aluminum fan blade. LOL
