Default Drag link clearance

Have installed a new flat head in a 38 Coupe. Used the truck oil pan for larger capacity. The drag link hits pan when turning left. Can I bend the arm slightly or is there another link to be used for more clearance? Not willing to hammer on the pan for extra room. Photos in catalogs look like 42-48 link has a good bend like I need. Any advice or suggestions appreciated. A front end components are stock.

You may want to search on this website for past posts this problem has been done before I have a simular problem going to put a 50 mercury engine in my 40 coupe...my solution is to change the oil pump pickup tube and oil pan more rear-ward so my drag link clears

Gumpy, I installed a 53 merc engine in my 40 Ford and used the 49-51 Merc oil pan. No clearance problems.
