30 Briggs Fordor Seat adjuster
I just accumulated an early 30 Briggs 165-D Fordor. Car is in remarkable original condition with original upholstery having been in storage for 50+ years. Found the front seat adjuster mechanism had been removed in its deep dark past. The receiver brackets were on the seat frame but the floor rails were missing, Bert's in Denver (Steve) came up with the floor rails, but I am still missing the adjuster bracket that mounts on the seat frame (it is narrower and mounts different than the one used on the Coupes and later Fordors. Has anyone out there had any experience dealing with this issue. I have been unable to find anything on this particular configuration .. Seems there is no consistency on how these Briggs's bodied were assembled. Finding out I have a lot to learn. Any help appreciated

Re: 30 Briggs Fordor Seat adjuster
Hi Rick,
If he provided the questionable rails, did you subsequently ask "Steve" at Bert's about the adjuster bracket ..... either he .... or maybe trying several other "Model A Technicians" at several other Model A parts places most probably have been confronted before with this exact same request for information. Re: 30 Briggs Fordor Seat adjuster
Dave: Great photo, that is exactly what I am looking for. Think we have a common unique seat setup on our early 30 Briggs' I'll do a little search on eBay for that bracket. Someone has to have one
Thanks a million Rick Jensen |

Snyder's carries quite a few seat parts and brackets. I know I got some parts from them for my '30 Town Sedan sear adjuster. http://www.snydersantiqueauto.com/seat-adjuster-bolt http://www.snydersantiqueauto.com/seat-adjuster-bracket http://www.snydersantiqueauto.com/se...r-bracket-3710 Last edited by Y-Blockhead; 07-30-2017 at 08:39 PM. |

Re: 30 Briggs Fordor Seat adjuster
I have over 100,000 original Model A parts in stock and might have this seat adjustment housing. I will look as soon as I have some time. I don't know if this is the same as the Murray as I have a 29 Murray Fordor and have extra parts set aside for it as well. I will look and see if you are not able to find someone else closer who might be able to help out with this part.

Re: 30 Briggs Fordor Seat adjuster
Dan: I'd certainly appreciate your seeing if you have one. Dan Davis is also keeping his eye out for one,
Thanks Rick |
