Re: To Clean or Not Clean an E 28 wheel before sale
Thanks Fellas
At this point it looks really good hanging in my shop, I think it will stay that way. |

Re: To Clean or Not Clean an E 28 wheel before sale
One of my summertime pastimes is to visit the Sunday morning brocantes held in villages throughout France. The ones near my home tend to be full of household junk so I often travel deep into the Limousin where the stalls are more interesting and period rural oddments change hands for reasonable prices. In recent years there has been a trend for stall holders to smarten up their stock, to clean, polish and often paint delightful objects in gloss black paint. Qu'elle horreur! Beautiful rural antiques which should come complete with patina and rust are presented as though they were knocked up in a sweat shop last week and fell off the back of a lorry carrying them to a trendy repro store. Your steering wheel is perfect as it is, please don't clean it up and risk ruining it before offering it for sale.
