Default Recommended gear oil for Dana 44

I have a Dana 44 rearend on my 52 F1. I plan on changing the oil in it as I don't know when the last time it was changed.

What weight oil should I use? It's got a 3spd manual transmission. I live in South Carolina and don't tow anything; nor carry heavy loads.

thoughts?

Thanks

Most all of the later Ford or Dana axles can use SAE 85W/90 or 85/W140 GL-5 gear lubricant of the high EP variety. It's available about anywhere you go and from multiple sources.

Transmissions are the ones that can have difficulty with high EP additives.
