6 Volt LED Lights
I use LED replacements on my early 12v cars for safety because they are so much brighter. I did a search on this forum for lights to replace the 6 volt taillights in my '40 Lincoln but got no hits. Does anybody know if they are making them for our early cars?

If you're looking for a combination brake and tail light here's the best I've found, 14/50 CP: http://www.vintageford.com/part_sear...3-6sb&Category

Re: 6 Volt LED Lights
Here is a most excellent thread (if I do say so myself ) fully discussing the difference between LED's, Halogens, and Super Bright Incandescents with pictures showing the differences: https://www.fordbarn.com/forum/showthread.php?t=67558

Re: 6 Volt LED Lights
I purchased some 6 volt LED bulbs for my 1940 Ford dash. The light from the LED bulbs is a narrow beam and is a white blueish light instead of the mellow soft wide tan light I get from the original 51 bulbs. The LED bulb is not any brighter than the original bulbs. I took out the LED bulbs and put back the original 51 bulbs. I installed 6 volt Halogen bulbs for tail and brake lights and they are much brighter.

Re: 6 Volt LED Lights
If you don't mind spending a little more for rear end safety look at lambertenterprises.com they make 6 volt kits for a lot of cars. The kit in my 40 tail lights from them is the best I have seen.
