Default Patriotic on this 4th of July

It doesn't get any more patriotic than this, does it.

The flag is hand made fabric 100x50.

That's the biggest flag I've ever seen old31 !! Just love the hell out of this country, even with the politics

Lona, I would feel proud of your country and proud of that garage of yours.

That garage is way to clean, can I come over and help make it right?
I need to change oil and plugs, that should start the dirtying up process some.
For all the time I spend in mine you would would think it would be nice too

Shortly after the American colonist began their civil war against their English 'Mother Country", while the price of their struggle for independence was still fresh in their mind, A quote began to appear in print which was true then (the recent War of 1812 had just finished), and is just as true today:

"Eternal vigilance is the price of liberty" .

This had been often attributed to Thomas Jefferson (who know something about the struggle to keep liberty and freedom), but was more likely first coined by John Philpot Curran's statement in 1817. In any case, this one line piece of prose represents a true and factual reality that must never be forgotten.

Old31 & Keith,

Thanks for the compliments. More details in the build Gallery titled "30 x 38 Full Circle Garage".

Sorry, the Gallery is on the Garage Journal Forum, not Ford Barn.

Glen, I just went to GJ and read your garage story. Very well written, very well built.

You must be proud of that project.

Yes, proud of the garage build but still so much more to be done to finish it. Next week will be dedicated to assembling the second lift, after which I can finally finish the second half of the floor. No trim on the doors or windows yet, need to finish the red stripe around the walls and get to building the attic lift to get stuff up to the unfinished second floor storage areas. I've started working on my cars so a lot of the other stuff can wait

Need to get at the A roadster to fix the detached rumble seat back, adjust the brakes since one wheel is grabbing badly, do something about the speedometer that reads 5 mph low and a lot of other minor stuff. But, it's a huge change from working in a small garage using a creeper under the cars. Easy to get under them but at 78, a pain to get up again.
