Default 1939 Ford Convertible

I have been working on it over the last year or so, as I get time. All the work has been done by me in my shop in Virginia. I am looking forward to finishing it and driving it cross country! Ha!

Columbia 2 Speed, Lincoln Gears, Blower, etc.

Looks like a FIRST class job, probably my favorite body style.

Any 39 convertible coupe owners out there know what the 2 long pieces of horizontal wood ( about 2 inches wide ) on either side are connected from the door pillar to the rumble seat area ?
There must be a bracket of some sort.
Any pictures would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Chris. NZ.

What color is that? Looks like Jefferson blue but a shade lighter in the pics. Also, is the frame powder coated? It's a damn clean build for sure.

Beautiful job of restoration. 39's convertibles are so much better looking than the 40's.
That will be a fun car to drive.
Congratulations!

Yes its Jefferson Blue. The lighting in my shop is very bright and makes the color lighter. The frame is not power coated I shot the frame with urthane .

Beautiful job!! Those appear to be "GRANCOR" heads. (GRANatelli CORporation). I have seen a couple of sets for 8BA's, but I never knew they made them for the earlier engines. Nice obscure touch!

Here's a set of Grancors on a '37 Pickup.
