Default Looking for a Car Cover

I'm looking for a full cover for my '48 Ford tudor sedan. I've found a few vendors with prices ranging from less than $100 to over $700. Not knowing what material, etc, etc, I'm at a loss to figure out what I really want to spend and what I need to buy. I drive the car fairly regularly and it stays in an open garage when not on the road. I use spray on/wipe off cleaners vs water washings and am looking for a good cover to protect it from every day dust between cleanings and driving it. Many thanks!!

I'd suggest checking out California Car Covers. They give a detailed explanation of their various available materials. They describe what sort of usage each is intended for.

1947 2dr Sedan.
Ordered mine from Macs, the best one, being Technalon. A little stiff but after a few rain/snow cycles, softens up a bit. Fits so well, that since pictures, had to make some adjustments for peep mirrors that I recently installed.
About $240.

I bought a California Car Cover on Craigs List for $25.00 for my 1939 pickup. It was originally made for a Lincoln Navigator or Chevy Tahhoe, but it fit my pickup perfect, even the pocket for the rearview mirror.

X4 on CCC.

I got the Stormweave, even though it's in the garage, the extra thickness is great at preventing scratches & dings.

My California Car Cover is pretty good.

Although I store indoors, it is good in the garage.

Not ready to use it right now. I drove my car today.

That Chicago Winter is coming.

I have used covers from Cal Car Cover for over thirty years, never had a problems with them.. Several of my cars are stored inside of closed garages, however, some are stored outside for extended periods of time.. Overall I like CCC's Storm-Weave, great protection in the garage from dings, scratches, and does a great job outside...

I have a custom fitted Beverly Hills cover, but it takes two people to get it on the car, so I use a cheapo cover to keep the dust off. Any cover, cheap or expensive, must "breathe", or moisture will accumulate as temperatures change. Stay away from any plastic types.

California Car Covers definitely make them for 1936 Fordor. They don't "list" any car type per se. You call them up and tell them what you have and they will make one for your car. They make covers for ALL pre-war Fords. They made one for my 1937 Fordor.
