Re: Front spring 39 pickup
37-39 pass. and comm. used 11 leafs (78 5310-c) or 12 leafs (78 5310-d) for "rough" roads. my 39 tudor had 11 (several broken) and i replaced it with one from my parts car which had 12.

Re: Front spring 39 pickup
You can re arch the spring yourself. Draw on cardboard the arch needed.
Then bend the spring leaves to match. I did my 39 pick up 25 years ago and it still sits good. Or a local spring company can do it for you. G.M.

Removing a leaf or two from an incorrect spring is not as simple as simply taking one or more away. Each leaf was manufactured to a specific weight / height ratio.
