4th drive of my AA project (after trans repairs)

I said 4th as Ive had several failed attempts at getting a good point of view video...

And yes on its 1st maiden voyage after pulling engine and trans to replace every bearing inside the trans as it had a bad knock I ran outa gas haha.

So heres its 4th possibly 5th maiden voyage! I'm happy with the way everything runs and stops (still gotta adjust the brakes a tad) so now I feel really comfortable moving onto body work.

and how did I take such a video you ask? Well I was researching gopro style action cameras and had an idea: take an old hat, drill a 1/4" hole in the visor and mount camera to visor - the human body is essentially a big shock absorber so no vibrations to worry about and keeps my hands free. The wind was a major factor in my video attempts - youtube to the rescue by making your own windsock hence the metal bracket (coated in electrical tape to prevent screen scratches) and piece of closed cell foam. It lets noise thru but stops windflow to the mic.

yea just the speed at which the camera can record and the speed of the fan rotation were in sync - same can be said about the front tire pattern in spots - it makes them appear to not be turning.

Think of old airplane movies where the propellers look stationary.

yea just gotta keep your feet off the battery

theres front brakes...

well the building is for sale so I doubt anyone would complain and all we have is the county sheriff that is hardly ever in the town. they are rather relaxed when they are.

Very nice. I rode along for the whole 9 min. It's good that you have a safe road for test driving. I would think that someone on here would offer up a better steering wheel for you. If I had one I would. keep us updated on the progress.

I have a new good quality steering wheel - i dont want to put it on till the cabs nearly done so i dont risk damaging it.

Other is a 1960 VW Ghia

SeaSlugs - Very cool, and the fun has just begun! I think the red car is a VW Karmann Ghia. Those are fun little toys, as well - but appears to be "boarded up" unless there is an access door in front of it....thanks for the ride along!

yea its put away for the winter - i need to fix the axle seal on it to get it out and about. Havent had room for a bit due to model A project all over the garage haha.
