Model T Tool Question
A major "T" parts dealer is charging $20 for a used original spark plug & head tool. I have usually seen then for just a few $$$ at flea markets. Are they so scarce now that this price is normal? It's hard to believe!

Re: Model T Tool Question
Price is only an action between buyer and seller. If the buyer can't get supply cheaply they will charge more, Prices go up and down.

Re: Model T Tool Question
Most of the later head bolt and plug T wrenches can be found at swap meets, $2 - $10 depending on condition. The earlier ones with closed socket in nice shape, $8-$20.
So depends on which one you want. Swap meets are better prices, dealers have to be higher for retail, they find, clean, advertise, and offer for sale and provide shipping. At swap meets the buyer has to travel there, search, buy, and carry home at also an added expense $ |

Re: Model T Tool Question
Not every body in this hobby is cool. That wrench is usually under $10 at flea markets here in N.J. Aside from the open end wrenches it is the most common with a few slight variations. It's mostly that they are stamped Ford that the price goes up a bit. The screw driver has turned up a few times but since it's unmarked and you have to know what you're looking at they can be bought quite cheap from uninformed sellers. I've picked them up for as low as $2. No Joke.
