Default Improving the Hand Wiper

The original design for the hand wiper for open cars was very faulty and made the wiper useless. I have heard people installing bushings or springs or backyard mechanic fixes but what is the best way? This is on a 28 Roadster that is a driver so as long as you can't see it or it looks "right" I am all ears.

My '31 Pickup came to me with a manual wiper. I could never make it work like it should. I finally gave up and installed Newport Engineering electric wipers. Not original in look or function, but that's just me!

That's interesting, I love my manual. Just tweaked it enough to do a good job, and stay out of the way when not in use.
