Default Winfield Tool Works - Steering Wheel Puller

Does anybody know anything about these Winfield Tool Works - Steering Wheel Pullers? It is marked FORD A-B-V8 on one side and WINFIELD TOOL WORKS VZ194 on the other side. It is obvious that it was built for the Model A, B Model and V8 Fords. What Country is was this tool made in? Are they a common tool? It looks like that they would be a good tool to removed Steering Wheels without breaking them? Comments please.

Useful piece of kit. The later wheels had two 5/16" UNF threads in so a simpler puller can be used.

If Gene Winfield designed it , it would of been made here in the USA . I think he's still alive in California. A serious famous car customizer .
I haven't had my morning coffee yet so this may be completely wrong .

In case you did not pull up petehoovie's attachment, Wilson Tool Works is/was in Port Jefferson, New York and also made a reproduction of KR Wilson's Rear Hub Puller (ABV-156) including the wooden box.

Looks to be a copy of the original K. R. Wilson steering wheel puller introduced into their lineup of service tools in 1933. It superseded the 1932 version which had two separate hinged cushioned jaws that fit under the bottom of the wheel. This design fits on the side contours of the wheel and is probably less likely to crack or break the hard rubber.

Just picked it up at a local Swap Meet. No, it is not for sale.

Here's the Winfield Tool Works rear hub puller. They show-up in the "for sale" section and on eBay. DD
