Ford Holley Carb 94 gaskets
I am looking for correct gaskets for three 94 carbs that I have. I bgt one kit from Carpenters and a couple kits from Speedway. It appears their gaskets are “generic” and the ones for body flange are not correct and do not fit. Any ideas for correct gaskets? Thanks

Before you put in those new gaskets, make sure all surfaces are flat. Charlie at Vintage Speed has a fixture on his vertical mill that trues up all gasket surfaces that have been warped over the years from over tightening. He also bushes and re reams throttle shaft bores, makes a big difference. Rich

Re: Ford Holley Carb 94 gaskets
Be very careful when dealing with "Charlie" at Vintage Speed. He does have a lot of hard to find parts, but his customer service sucks. I ordered a pair of jets from him, and they arrived as used and in the incorrect sizes. When I called and asked about the problem, they blew me off. Long story short, if they have what you want, they can be great; if not, "Caveat Emptor".
I'd go to "Charlieny" or "Scialia" on here before dealing with "Vintage Speed". |

Please do not confuse Charlie Price at Vintage Speed with Charlie ny. I'm Charlie ny and I'm the guy that does the machining on 94's. I value my reputation. Thank you, Charles Schwendler Charlie ny |

Re: Ford Holley Carb 94 gaskets
I've never seen any kits for Holley 94's that had incorrect gaskets. Are you sure you don't have kit's for a Stromberg 97 or vise versa ?

Re: Ford Holley Carb 94 gaskets
Not to detract from anyone's workmanship, but I do believe some folks get a bit too excited over hearing the word "machining". Shade tree mechanics have been doing very acceptable "machining" work by hand since the invention of dirty fingernails.

Re: Ford Holley Carb 94 gaskets
In the back of our cave we had a flat surface, a piece of glass, a felt tip marker and a sheet of emery paper. We referred to our shade tree as "the veranda". lol Chap
