40 wood grain
I am trying to determine the correct base color for the wood grain on a 40 Ford Deluxe. My garnish is so bad there is no way of telling except for the paint behind the vent wing rubber. It looks like the dash color "Monaida Maroon". I have a pint of Monaida Maroon that was mixed for me at the API store. I brushed some on top of the original and it matched. I brushed it in the groove above the run spot. Is it possible that this was the color applied before graining the garnish? My other question is the direction of the grain. From what I have seen the grain runs vertical on all pieces. Is the graining to be mahogany. Thanks

Re: 40 wood grain
Contact Evan at Grain-it-technologies. They have the correct base colors in spray cans and the correct graining colors.
