Quarter Window Seal Install
I'm installing new quarter window seals on a '48 coupe and wondering if anyone has advise on what to use to lubricate the seal so it goes into the channel easier. I want to make sure I don't use something that might damage the rubber seal or cause issues with it staying in place.

Re: Quarter Window Seal Install
Some people use dish wash liquid. I used that once but when i decided to replace with a better quality seal there was surface rust in the channel and that was before I exposed the car to the elements. I used CRC/WD40 next time, makes the rubber more pliable and you can push it into place with a stubby flat blade screwdriver.

But Oil and rubber are not very friendly to each other. I think it would be harmful to the rubber.
