Sonny, I don't think it will help but you could try tightening up your clearences a little. My points are at 15 and my plugs at 25. I use Autolite 3076 plugs. Did you put all new valves and guides in? Your valves could be a little tight in the guides and the exhaust valves being a little hotter stick open just a bit and don't seat right away. Just a thought. Bob.

Yes the complete valve train was replaced. But I'll try the tighter clearences. Sometimes that's all it takes. The engines only got about an hours run time on it. Thanks.

Think the problem might be solved. A guy named Bob from AA forum, turned me in the right direction. The nu-wrench that I bought from Mac's had it listed for 28-34 distributor timing. When I typed in nu-rex, it says for 28-31 only. Hmmmm, Just saying.
