Truck shakes
Could it just be from sitting, tires look good not checked. If they are out of balance, they must be way out. First run down the road, don't know much history about the truck. Guess the tires could have flat spots. Any ideas much appreciated.

Re: Truck shakes
Check the ball on the A frame where it attaches under the bell housing.

Re: Truck shakes
If it's been sitting for a while those bias ply tires will get a flat spot, and it'll shake pretty good until they get rounded out...

Re: Truck shakes
Maybe your lug nuts are loose
Do a complete safety check and change the fluids Spin the wheels and look for jumping or wheel runout issues |

Re: Truck shakes
So in 15 more years he could have square wheels! Maybe they will grip mud and sand better since they will be pointier

Re: Truck shakes
Thanks for the info, got out in the truck a bit last couple days must have been the flat spots. I do look forward to learning as much as I can about the Model A. I sure can tell its running much better with just a couple fresh tanks of gas through it..
Reading all I can find about the gearbox, under carrage, oils etc. Thank you, Rod.. |

Re: Truck shakes
Good work...the more you drive it the better it will get.
My truck sat for several years..but it was on blocks... The more I drive it and the better I get at timing it the better it runs.... new points and plugs helped too... I've been adding Marvel Mystery oil to the gas, and that has helped, but lately I've been adding Sea Foam to the gas and that seems to make quite a difference... Randy
