Default Repro Felt Window Channel

I purchased a window channel kit from one of the vendors. The old channel (top in picture) is only "fuzzy" inside the channel the new ones (bottom in picture) are "fuzzy" all the way around and do not seem to match the channel in the JS illustration. Also the new channels protrude from the door frame and seems like they "shed".

Any thoughts?

Did some checking around and looks like all of the kits are from Vintique. Are there any others available that fit better?
