My grandads sinclair sign up!
I know its a little off subject but here is a photo of my Grandads Sinclair sign I got a little over a year ago and finally in Nov finished restoring it and getting a pad for it.
I can't wait to get my 40 running and get a picture with the sign! Thanks Steve |

Looks perfect, I like the car peeking around the corner for an added touch.

Re: My grandads sinclair sign up!
If you have non ethanol gas in that pump we will all stop in for a fill up and get a picture of our old Fords under that sign . The sign looks very nice!

Yes it is off topic but just a half a click. And a half a click in the right direction. I live stuff like that.

Re: My grandads sinclair sign up!
I spent my mid teen years working at three different Sinclair gas stations. Two were in Baltimore City, the other was in Baltimore County all. All were on Route1. RR

Re: My grandads sinclair sign up!
Ray, I probably gassed up at those same Sinclair stations driving my '35 3w coupe, during my misspent youth, while growing up in and around Baltimore.

Re: My grandads sinclair sign up!
Very cool. My Grandfather (on my mom's side) had a Sinclair station in Cleveland, GA back in the '50's.

Re: My grandads sinclair sign up!
Hi Everyone Thanks for all the kind words. Gas today is 25.9 This sign and pole was from my Grandads garage on my moms side also. We have a photo of the pole with the earlier Sinclair sign on it also. My Dad also worked there for several years. He ran it from the 40s to the mid 60s. I could not believe when the owner (who I have been friends with and attended license plate shows with) of the garage and sign came to me and told me the sign and pole was mine. WOW! Yes there is still Sinclair gas in the mid west. That's my sons 41 pickup peeking around the corner! Thanks!!

Looks great.....I have a Frontier sign & post I poured the base for a year ago and still have not had time to get it finished up and set in place. To many projects I guess.
