I know it's not much help to you, but down here I had a local guy build us a surround. He was very specific in that we make him a full size card template of the opening as he said all bodies are slightly different .
Could you not get an alloy surround and scuff it up for paint.

I think most vendors sell frames manufactured by Trautwein and quite often they will be out of stock. I don't know about United Pacific, they may make their own frame, or they may sell the Trautwein repro. To the best of my knowledge Speedway still makes their own frames on the old Jay Ohberg AKA Mr. Roadster tooling. I have a Speedway frame on my 5 window bought 30+ years ago and although it is aluminum dimensionally it cannot be told from an original Henry frame. The Speedway frames today are steel. If you want a Trautwein be prepared to wait.

I just put a United Pacific frame in my 3.5 inch chopped 5 window and it fit good. Sold another one to a guy who chopped his 2 door 3.5 inches and it also worked fine. Used the stock style reproduction rubber and it also fit.
