Ahooga horn
when replaceing the diaphrams in these horns , is there a special way the point on the diapham should be clocked to the ratchet?

OK now this is a stewart warner horn ..same as ames I was wondering I took apart to clean and paint and now doesnt sound very good .Should be the same as sparton ? I did notice the small hole when lining up gasket

Line the two drain holes up, as shown below.
If it doesn't sound good, it may just need adjustment. You could also try polishing the commutator, lightly oiling the two felts at both ends of the armature, and maybe replacing the brushes. Leave the diaphragm unpainted.

OK guys thanks and thanks for the pic .Im pretty sure thats how I put it together but will check it tomorrow. I have a second one to put together also.The first one is original diapham and I did paint the edges were I wirebrushed the gasket off .easy to correct the second one has a repo diaphram
