Default Shipping a Model A

Hey guys,
I'm looking for suggestions for a carrier to ship a '29 Business Coupe from northern Illinois to the Kansas City, MO area. I posted it on Uship but not having much success so far.
Any suggestions of someone to haul this would be greatly appreciated!

Yeah ...

Don’t list on Uship - it has turned into a place for auto transport brokers to bid on loads - by the time the fees are paid there is nothing left for the actual hauler.

I joined up when they first started - it is not the same.

My guess is - no one is taking your haul because your transport budget
is below cost.

If your A is road worthy drive it. Freeport, IL to KC is 450miles. You should be able to do it easily in 10 hrs.

Yikes???? People in Europe are paying up to $270 a litre. That is over $10 a US gallon. Is it any wonder they drive smaller and more fuel efficient cars. Realities are much different outside the US.

I am up in the Madison WI area, if I weren't so tall, would drive it for you. Coupes and Roadsters were not designed for tall people.

Wife and I just put 282 miles on our Model A on a day trip to Iowa to see the fall colors.

Here we go again! While it is true you drive on the right side of the road, we sit on the right side of the car and drive on the correct side of the road. Pass another beer, will you.

Good Morning...Driving your A on this trip might be a great deal of fun. However, I would do a couple to things to make it easier on the car and you and your favorite passenger. First I would spend some time with a map of the area and figure out the best non-freeway route to take. Second, I would break the trip into two days. 225 miles a day in an 'A' is plenty for us and for the 'A'. If no overdrive, then cruise along at 40 miles an hour, with overdrive run 55. Check into a nice little hotel, have a good shower, a good dinner and among other things, a good nights sleep. In the morning, check coolant, oil, lug nuts, tire pressure, and head out for the second day. Ernie in Arizona

Come on guys....Californians pay a price for special blend gas to save the planet! If you bitch about the price of California gas, does that mean you’re a climate change denier?

Bob,
By the way, that is a good looking 29 oval-window, business coupe.
Does it have a trunk or a rumble seat?
You are one lucky guy.
