Default Rear wheel bearing seal.

I have a 30 Tudor with hyd. brakes. I am cleaning the bearings and re-packing but the seal I received from Macs is way too big. Are the drums different for the Hyd. System? My old seal is about 2 -28/32, the new is almost 3.2" Any ideas where I can get a new seal? I old one is kaput.

Yup, different. Lots of parts houses have the v8 seal. Did you tell whoever you got the model a seal from....that you had hyd brakes and that seal Sacramento Vintage Ford , C&G parts in Escondido, etc

Sounds like you need seal 78-1175 instead of B-1175.

A&L in Canton, CT is the only supplier I know who sells a rear wheel bearing seal that actually fits a Model A drum. 860-693-0112.

HT said it first. You likely have the 39-47 brake conversion to make your Model A hydraulic brake. The bearing/seal for these later hubs is smaller than the Model A seal.

With the diameters and explaining to your parts dealer what you have your parts dude can send the right seals.

A friend told me that the only ones that fit come from A&L. I bought some and they fit.
