Default Cracked block!

Well guys, I pulled the old head and found why I have water in my oil. It goes from the water passage, across the block and extends about 1/8" into number 2 cylinder. Do I need to sleeve the cylinder ad have the block welded and decked or what is the proper fix? I had planned on building a touring motor this winter so I guess now is the time. What would be the best cam with the Snyder's head? Also valves?

You know I have seen that crack there before. Those two cylinders at minimum need to be sleeved. Lot's of motor builders will chime in here for sure. Glad you have found the culprit.

Looks like one cylinder was already sleeved

My two cents...if you sleeve one you sleeve them all. I have 'b' cam with my 5.5 head.

You need to pin and sleeve both. I would never use a sleeve if you did not need it, but you need it in those two cylinders.
