1942 Ford Tudor
City:
Bowling Green
State:
Ky
Price:
$17,500
1942 Ford 2 door sedan - Tudor
This is an excellent all arounder. It runs and drives excellent. The flathead has been rebuilt within the last 5 years and has very few miles on it. It runs cool and holds excellent oil pressure. The carburetor is a rebuilt Stromberg 97. It has a rebuilt distributor, new fuel pump, etc. The transmission is the original 3 speed manual. It shifts good up and down through the gears and has a new clutch. The car has recently received a complete brake job and they are in good functioning order. The body is exceptionally solid and straight. Floors, trunk etc all look great. Everything fits nice. Paint is older but very presentable. All gauges work, radio does not. It still runs it's original 6 volt charging system that functions as it should. Generator has been rebuilt and the battery is new. Gas tank has been removed, cleaned and sealed. Feel free to contact me with any questions. Call or send a PM. Tim 270-799-8388 Last edited by Labold; 12-17-2010 at 10:06 AM. |

The car has had 1 repaint, the original (stock) color. The headliner is original. It may have a stain or two but is not ripped or sagging. NO RUST, this car is rock solid everywhere you look. All gauges work aside from the clock and radio. The radio doesn't even make noise (fuse?, tube?) but looks to be complete and in good shape (nice chrome etc). The clock runs, it just doesn't keep accurate time. Now the bad news. I spoke with a man the night before last on it and I believe we have a deal. He told me he sent funds out Wednesday morning and I am just waiting to receive them to mark it sold. It is a great car, just too close to being the same car as my '40 2 door sedan. Thanks for the interest. |
