Default Square tires

Has anyone found a cure for tires with flat spots from sitting for years? I've got 4 beautiful whitewalls that have only about 500 miles on them, according to the guy I bought the car from, but the car sat in one spot for years. He had jack stands but didn't bother using them. Now the car hops excessively, especially as low speeds.

I hate to throw these away, but I know how much better the car will ride on new rubber.

Have you ran it for some time on these tires? I've had this happen, but after some miles the tires will work out the flat spot, especially on a hot day. We had -40 F this morning. My work vehicle bumped along for about 1/2 mile before flat spots relaxed. If they are so hard that they won't, I'd say time to replace.

If they are nylon cord, they should 'round-out' in a few miles. Otherwise they should be put in the 'round file'!

So long as you have the patience, I'd make sure the flat spots are not going to get worse while I wait for warmer weather (we have too much of it at the moment!). On a warm day, take the car for a long drive and the flat spots should vanish. If they don't, do as Jim said.

Check the date code on the tires, that may supersede the out of round problem.

Run them they will never round out,,You got two choices throw them in the ditch or find someone who has a tire truer to trim them out ..never let bias tires set for a long period it will make them useless..move car every month or put on jack stands..sc
