just got your email. i guess the 4173m is a pivot point where the 2 rods are hooked up to them 2 holes that are close to each other. and the pivot is the one toward the drive shaft. probably the rod would be to long in one peace

It appears so. I have the COE linkage (which is different) and my COE is the short 101" wheelbase, so I don't have the intermediate bracket or bellcrank (4173M on conventional trucks, 4174M on the COEs). I just have one rod (either 4135 or 4136, off-hand not certain). You could make it one rod on a longer truck but that might add vibration problems which could cause the rear axle to pop out of the desired gear.

i thought i had it figured out ! but now after testing it this weekend ,i think i got it backward. a few weeks ago i jacked the rear axle and counted drive shaft rotations. and figured the high was in the back position on differential. after a few test this weekend (its hard to tell)i feel like it in the front !!! i leave the clutch out in third gear and truck doesn,t stall in either positon. like someone said its slow and slower .i will need to pick up some stuff and try it outside. or jack it up again.
